bobandalf has taken care to ensure that descriptions, photographic reproductions and specifications of products are correct. We will not, under any circumstances, accept liability for losses or damage specific to the particular circumstances of the customer.
How do you care for bobandalf objects?
Jesmonite is considered durable, flame resistant and resistant to impact. It is therefore a very sturdy material.
The creative intent of bobandalf is to construct items from a number of components most of which are simply slotted together. It is therefore always best to hold bobandalf objects by the base to both manage the weight and the integrity of the piece.
Our collections for the garden have been made with frost-proof materials and coated. All elements can be cleaned using soapy water and a light brush. Use a non-toxic cleaner designed for birdbaths for the bowl following the product directions specifically. Over time, the bird feeder or bird bath surface may change influenced by the external surroundings. Whilst care has been taken to fabricate with frost-proof materials, we are not liable for any damage due to extreme weather conditions.
All Jesmonite objects have been coated with a matte satin varnish or acrylic based Jesmonite varnish and finished with wax - they can be cleaned with soapy water.
Our recycled objects made from cardboard have been coated with decorators varnish - they can be lightly cleaned with a damp cloth .
Please change the time on our clocks by using the wheel on the clock mechanism rather than by moving the clock hands.
Lampshades include converter ring, for use in UK and Europe. We recommend the use of low energy bulbs with your lampshade as these will lessen the problem of discolouring shades.
Please do not use any bobandalf indoor object for food presentation or to hold water.
bobandalf will not be responsible for any damage incurred to bobandalf objects through the cleaning processes used by the customer or if any of the above recommendations are not observed.

We do not charge for post and packaging. We use Parcelforce Worldwide 2 day service for UK deliveries
How long does it take?
We will despatch the order to you within 5-7 working days on receipt of payment.
Certain items are made to order and as such will have a longer time frame for delivery - please check the shopping page carefully or contact us for details.
Buying from Europe or International?
Unfortunately we are unable to ship to Europe or worldwide.
Delivery
bobandalf ships anywhere in the UK using Parcelforce Worldwide 2 day service. In the event that there is nobody to receive the parcel, Parcelforce will leave a note with directions for collection. If you do not collect your item from the post office within the time stipulated on the card and the item is returned to bobandalf, we reserve the right to charge for re-postage.
In some cases, we might use a courier service, in which case we will use a recorded service and therefore a signature will be required. In the event that there is nobody to sign for the parcel, the courier service will leave a note with directions for collection. If you do not contact or follow the steps provided to rearrange delivery of your item within the time stipulated on the card and the item is returned to bobandalf, we reserve the right to charge for re-postage.
Packing
We try to use sustainable materials when possible. However, in some cases we may have to use polystyrene chips, bubble wrap or other materials due to availability or to provide better padding.
Has the work arrived damaged?
All items are made by hand by bobandalf, made in small runs or as one-offs, therefore some slight variations may occur in the dimensions, colour and finish of the item you receive to the image seen on bobandalf.com. These slight variations will not be considered as a return for a refund.

Failure to hold or move the object in this way that results in the piece being dropped will not be considered as a return for a refund.
Replacements or refunds will be given where possible on products/items that have genuine faults or have suffered damage during transit. Please ensure you thoroughly check your item on its arrival. If any of our pieces arrive damaged in transport, please email a picture that clearly identifies the damage. Please send an email to us before you return any item, telling us that you are returning it and why. Once a piece has been used, we can no longer accept the product as a return for refund.
Please let us know within 7 days of receipt of your item that you would like a refund. Unfortunately, we cannot cover the cost of returning unwanted products to us, nor the refund of the initial delivery cost. Please ask for proof of posting when returning items to us for your records as we accept no liability for loss of returns in the post.
We will process any refund due to you within 30 days of the day we receive your cancellation. We will email you to confirm your details to refund directly via a bank transfer.
If the goods do not reach us in a perfect and saleable condition and in their original packaging, then your right to a full refund may be affected. With some heavier items it is likely that the item will need to be returned with a particular carrier to ensure full insurance cover is available.
How do I cancel an order?
If you wish to cancel your order before it has been posted out to you, then please confirm this by email within 48 hours of placing an order and we will reimburse you the cost within 30 days.
If the order has already been posted but not received, we will not refund the value for delivery charges and will only be able to process the refund after the order has been returned safely to our premises.
How do I make a payment?
Online payments are processed securely through Stripe and PayPal.
Prices and availability of items and postage are subject to change without prior notice.
Confidentiality
All confidential information, including credit card details, are held securely and only transmitted in encrypted form. Customer details are not passed to third parties and are used only in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages and expenses (including legal fees), arising out of your use of this site.
Your contract with us
As soon as a client places an order on our website, we will acknowledge the order by sending the client an email confirmation, but this is not acceptance of the order. Orders will be fully accepted once we have received full payment.
There are certain circumstances in which we will not accept orders:
when the materials are out of stock
if payments are not fully or correctly processed or received by us
if we have any suspicions of fraudulent activity
if we foresee problems with the delivery
if we decide against it due to internal company reasons
In the case that we decide not to accept an order, we will let the customer know as soon as possible. Orders on this website will be fulfilled/despatched within 5-7 working days of payment being received and we cannot/will not post any orders until payment has been received in full. Certain items are made to order and as such will have a longer time frame for delivery - please check the shopping page carefully for details.
Consumer rights
The Contract will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and the parties to the Contract submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts. None of the above Terms and Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.
