We are bobandalf, designers of bold articles. We are based in Hitchin and London, UK.

Our name bobandalf is a nod to our grandfathers (both carpenters), in recognition of their hand-making skills and wisdom. 

Our partnership is key in the creation of our practice - a combination of skills and friendship. Trained at Brighton and Norwich, our professional backgrounds are in graphic design, 3D design, visual arts curation, museum and gallery management and the crafts sector.

We make new objects from what is generally discarded such as cardboard and packaging, creating art from waste. We  create work in an intuitive, simple way. We always experiment, learning by trial and error.

We hope the essence of our friendship, our positivity and sense of play comes through our portfolio of work.
